Chula Vista It is the finding of the Envircnmental Review Committee: that the project will not hate a significant effect on the environirent for tl~e following reasons: 1. Hazards due to the location in a flood plain are not signif_i.cant because of the lack of any new construction at this time and the fact that this is a backwater area. Standard development regulations ~•rill insure that inundation will not cause a substantial hazard and engineering practice will mitigate any liquefaction impact. 2. The proposed project conforms to all adopted long term goals of the City of Chula Vista and therefore will not attain short term goals to the disadvantage of long term goals. 3. The effects of the project are so trivial as to preclude significant cumulative results. 4. There will be short term impacts due to construction . activities, however, long term effects of the project on human beings will be insignificant or beneficial. ' NOTE: This evaluation is limited to the consideration of the proposed General Plan Tr7end?rent, the rezoning, parcel map and site plan and architectural review of parcel 1 of said parcel map. ~~ Information for the Initial Study was prepared by; ~ -- F.
