Re: Resignation of Board Seat
Dear Commissioners and Director Martin:
I respectfully tender my resignation of my commission on the Board of Parks & Recreation for the City
of Chula Vista. I have had many changes in my life in the last couple bf years with my econd bout of
Cancer. My health is good now and God has blessed me with my new husband Alfred E. Wise, Jr. We
both are natives to San Diego. but have now permanently moved to Signal Hill. I still have my paralegal
:business in Chula Vista but the commute is very difficult and recently has taken a toll on me. Therefore,
Lknaw that it is best For everyone that I resign my commission.
I have enjoyed sitting on this Board and learning about my hometown through the eyes of the Parks and
Recreation department staff. Moreover,. especially the-great attitudes and efficiency of the staff in the '
Parks and Recreation. departmenYand Public Works department. I have always been impressed with
the complete dedicafion of the staff to try to meet and fulfill the needs of Chula Vista residents while
under such financial hardship and reduction in-staff that this department has suffered. My highest .
regards to all of you foryour work well done.
I truly appreciate this Board, Director Martin and his staff for being so very supportive over the years.
with my health issues and I want to thank each of you:.The understanding and concern for my health
during thelast couple of years made a difference in mylife and I feel very blessed to have experienced
your kindness. As we all know, having health issues and financial issues with our economy has been
difficult not just for myself but for many people that live in Chula Vista:
Chula- Vista has been my home and I will ahvays consider it my home but I have a new chapter to begin.
with my wonderful husband in the City of Signal Bill drilling for oilt .Thank you for your time and my
best to all of you.
