RESOLUTION NO. 8139
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF CHULA
VISTA ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A BOX CULVERT ON HALECREST DRIVE
NORTH OF TELEGRAPH CANYON ROAD - PROJECT GF-8
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following ten bids were received and opened
at 11:00 a.m. on the 15th day of April , 19~, in the

of t e City o C u a Vista or the construction of a box culvert on
Halecrest Drive north of Telecrraph Capon Road
G. R. Henderson Contractors, Inc., San Diego $23,800.00
T. B. Penick & Sons, Inc., San Diego 26,667.00
Carver General Engineering, Santee 28,497.00
Sapper Brothers, Inc., San Diego 28,886.00
Roczey Grading & Demolition, El Cajon 31,253.00
Daley Corporation, San Diego 31,786.00
C. W. McGrath, Inc., El Cajon 31,986.00
Scheidel Corporation, La Mesa 39,257.00
Daniel L. Muns Engineering Co., E1 Cajon 44,551.92
Dempsy Construction Co ., Lemon Grove 46,117.00
and
WHEREAS, it has been recommended that said contract be awarded
to G. R. Henderson Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $23,800.00
who has assured the City that he is a licensed contractor
in the State of California and can produce an accepta le performance
bond.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Chula Vista does hereby accept said ten bids, and does
hereby award the contract for said construction of a box culvert
to G. R. Henderson Contractors, Inc.
to be completed in accordance with the specifications as approved by the
Director of Public Works of the City of Chula Vista.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sum of $26,180.00 be, and the
same is hereby authorized to be expended from Account 61-7001-GF-8 for
the purpose set forth hereinabove.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor
of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed
to execute said contract for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
