ITEM TITLE: Resolution #8159 -Finding of the City of Chula Vista that the proposed
Community Block Grant projects will not have any significant impact on
the environment in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act

ITEM EXPLANATION
Two of the projects proposed as part of the Community Block Grant Program are subject to
review under the California Environmental Quality Act. The remaining projects are either
not defined as a project under state law or are exempt.
The Environmental Review Committee has conducted Initial Studies (IS-76-4 & 5) on the
projects and concluded there would be no significant impact. Notice was given in accord-
ance with the Environmental Review Policy and the Negative Declarations have been circu-
lated by the State Clearinghouse.
No comments on the environmental documents were received from the public or any agency.
Attached are the Negative Declarations on the two projects and Environmental Review
Records ERR-76-5 & 10 are referenced for backup information.

BOARD/ COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION
The Environmental Review Committee recommended that Council find that in accordance
with the attached Negative Declarations the proposed projects will have no significant
impact on the environment and certify that the Negative Declarations have been prepared
in accordance with CEQA and the Environmental Review Policy of the City of Chula Vista.
