The signatories of this document were representatives of the City, County, Bay General Community Hospital, Chula Vista Commu- nity Hospital, Bonita/Sunnyside Fire Protection District and Montgomery Fire Protection District. Since that time, implementation of the service has progressed to the point where paramedic personnel have completed the majority of their five-month training program, and the Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is now available from the County. In order to activate paramedic services for Chula Vista and the two aforementioned fire districts, three agreements must be concluded. The first two of these are essentially sub- contracts with Bay Cities Ambulance, Inc. and Bay General Community Hospital. The former participant will take possession of and maintain the MICU and provide a driver around the clock. The latter organization will be providing two paramedics on a twenty-four hour basis and act as the base station hospital. Both Bay Cities Ambulance, Inc. and Bay General Community Hospital have approved and signed their agreements with the City. The final agreement in this series is between the County of San Diego (Division of Emergency Medical Services) and the City. Under its terms, the City will be responsible for the sub-contractor supplied materials and services cited. above, in addition to dispatch, record keeping and coordination tasks. After the signing of all agreements has been completed, the County will transfer the MICU to Bav Cities Ambulance, Inc. via the City, with actual operations scheduled to commence EXHIBITS ATTACHED continued on Supplemental Page 2 Agreement X Resolution X Ordinance Plat Other Environmental Document: Attached Submitted on STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution BOARD/ COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION COUNCIL ACTION ~R~vED Y ~ b ~ ~~e -. -,, ~ =~ y Clti~ ~:; f^J.
