RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF FUNDS
FROM THE INSURANCE BUDGET TO THE MINIMUM
PREMIUM HEALTH PLAN FUND
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, on June 7, 1988, the Personnel Department
informed the City Council of surplus funds in the Insurance
Budget for FY 1987-88 in the amount of $127,700, and
WHEREAS, the Council approved a request to transfer a
portion of these funds, $9,886, to purchase capital equipment for
the Risk Management Division of Personnel, and
WHEREAS, since the City is not in a position to raise
premiums again and funds are available in the insurance budget,
it is in the City's and employees' best interest to transfer
$90,000 into the Minimum Premium Health Plan Fund to cover the
anticipated shortfall in premiums collected to pay health claims.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby approve the transfer of
$90,000 from the Insurance Budget to the Minimum Premium Health
Plan Fund.
