HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1977/05/10 Item13` ~ CITY OF CHULA VISTA ~ ITEM N0. 13 COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT 5/10/77 ' ~ FOR MEETING OF: ITEM TITLE: Resolution(~j,`~~ Accepting Grant Deed from United Enterprises, Inc. for Street Purposes Adjacent to El Rancho del Rey, Unit No. 4 Subdivision SUBMITTED BY~ Director of Public Works/City Engineer ~~ ITEM EXPLANATION One of the conditions of approval of the Tentative Map for El Rancho del Rey, Unit No. 4 Subdivision is for the subdivider to dedicate ad- ditional right of way for Telegraph Canyon Road for a total width of 79 feet. This dedication will complete the right of way for the northerly half of Telegraph Canyon Road including the median island along the ulti- mate alignment. The remaining 47 feet of the 126 foot of ultimate right of way for Telegraph Canyon Road will either be dedicated by future development or acquired as part of a widening project for Telegraph Canyon Road. Right of way for the drainage channel along the south side of Tele- grah Canyon Road will also have to be acquired in addition to the street right of way. The subdivider, Treetop Unlimited, has negotiated a settlement with United Enterprises, Inc. for the necessary right of way. On April 20, 1977, United Enterprises, Inc. executed a grant deed dedicating the required right of way to the City of Chula Vista. The right of way granted by United Enterprises, Inc. presently lies within the County of San Diego. This right of way will provide for the construction of future improvements as provided for in the agreement to be considered in an accompanying agenda item at this meeting.
