The service changes have had sufficient time to stabilize operationally and now need refinement. In April, 1977, the routes and schedules will be modified to improve service and system efficiency. Pending changes include: o Extension of Route 3 to Rohr; o Schedule changes to Routes 1, 2, 3 and 4 to improve coordina- tion with day shift start and end times at Rohr; o Reduction of Route 5 trip time to enable the present level of service to be provided with one bus rather than two; o Use of the extra vehicle and driver (freed by the Route 5 change) to institute a CBD Shuttle service linking major downtown attrac- tors. These changes are expected to produce substantial benefits to existing CVT system users and to attract new riders. Major benefits include: o Providing direct service between the residential areas of Route 3 and Rohr, while improving the overall coordination of Route 3 (continued on Supplemental p r~/1 IIf11Tn ATTA/~1 Irn CJlr11CSl I J HI IHI~I"ICU Agreement Resolution Ordinance Plat Other X Route Environmental Document; Attached Submitted on Maps STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Adopt resolution, approving proposed transit service changes and distinctive fare structure for the Downtown Shuttle.
