The Ci y Council at the request of and on behalf of the Parking Place Commission, authorized
staff o proceed with the steps necessary to acquire property on Church Avenue for public
parkin In order to proceed with the data necessary to hold a public hearing, it will be
necess ry to conduct an appraisal of the two parcels involved and to obtain title services.

ears ago Leo Eckymeyer, MAI, conducted an appraisal of the subject properties along
parcel on Del Mar that was subsequently acquired. Mr. Eckymeyer however, is no
in the area, therefore Mr. Lee Johnson was contacted due to his recent appraisal
the redevelopment focus area. Mr. Johnson has agreed to update the appraisal for
f $750 within thirty days of authorization. The fee is close to half of normal
recommended for acceptance. Mr. Johnson has also agreed to conduct the services

attached resolution can be incurred without the violation of any
of the provisions of the Charter of the City of Chula Vista, or
the Constitution or the laws of the State of California, that
sufficient monies have bean appropriated for the purpose of said
contract, that sufficient monies to meet the obligations of the
contract era actually in the Treasury, or are anticipated to come
into the Treasury to the credit of the appropriation from which
the same are to be drawn, and that said monies now actually in
the Treasury, together with the monies anticipated to come into
the Treasury, to the credit of said appropriation are otherwise
