HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1977/12/13 Item 06CITY OF CHULA VISTA COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item No. 6 For meeting of 12/13/77 ITEM TITLE Resolution #8912-Requesting the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego to permit the Registrar of Voters of said County to conduct the General Municipal Election to be held on April 11, 1978 SUBMITTED BV City Clerk ITEM EXPLANATION (4/5TH'S VOTE REQUIRED YES_ NO x ) The General Municipal Election to be held on April 11, 1978 will be to fill two Council seats, two seats on the Board of Education of the Chula Vista Elementary School District and measures being proposed by the Charter Review Committee and possibly the Low Income Housing Committee. The precinct workers will be paid the following: Inspectors Judges Clerks Polling Places Delivery of ballots $35.00 30.00 30.00 25.00 2.00 per person The total cost of the April 12, 1977 Election was $33,515.30. Since this election encompasses the school district board vacancies, the cost will be higher inasmuch as there will be more precincts and mailings - going outside the boundaries of Chula Vista.
