City Council Resolution No. 8854 approved revision of the Traffic Safety Motorcycle
Grant and amending of the 1977-78 Budget appropriations to provide for three Police
Motorcycles.
Bids for the motorcycles were advertised via a cooperative purchasing arrangement
with the City of San Diego on their Bid No. 1230. The bid was fora total of fifteen
motorcycles. The low bidder was Valley Motorcycle Sales Co., Iii'c., E1 Cajon, on the
Honda Model C6750A Motorcycle at $3,277.00 per unit.
The total cost to purchase the three (3) motorcycles, including sales tax, is
$10,420.86.

attached resolution can be incurred without the violation of any
of the provisions of the Charter of the City of Chula Vista, or
the Constitution or the laws of the State of California, that
sufficient monies have been appropriated for the purpose of said
contract, that sufficient monies to meet the obligations of the
contract are actually in the Treasury, or are anticipated to come
into the Treasury to the credit of the appropriation from which
the same are to be drawn, and that said monies now actually in
the Treasury, together with the monies anticipated to come into
the Treasury, to the credit of said appropriation are otherwise
unencumbered.
