SUBMITTED BY Director of Finance ~~~ ITEM EXPLANATION (4/5TH'S VOTE REQUIRED YES X NO_) Recently, former Mayor Thomas Hamilton, elected retirement coverage for his years of service with the City of Chula Vista as Councilman and Mayor, His period of service began on April 16, 1968, and ended on January 2, 1977. He has paid his share of the retirement costs, and under our retirement contract, it is now necessary for the City to pay the employer's share.
