Grabhorn Engineering Corporation (GEC) has submitted data to The City of Chula Vista for their inclusion in the list of Environ- mental Consultants. This firm has not prepared environmental documents for the City before but has for other agencies. Personnel at the firm have been involved in the EIR process for a number of years. B. Grabhorn Engineering Corporation has subcontracted with the following firms for services not provided in-house (see attached agreements): 1. Toups Corporation (acoustics, air quality, archaeology, economic and sociology.) 2. Geocon (geology and soils). 3. Pacific Southwest Bio Services (biology) 4. Boyle Engineering (water quality) 5. Federhart & Associates will be used when complex traffic impacts are possible. Toups Corporation will be involved in a large number of projects for which Grabhorn Engineering Corporation will be preparing Environmental Impact Reports. Toups has previously been placed on the list of Environmental Consultants. Grabhorn Engineering Corporation has demonstrated that it has on its staff or has subcontracted with, experts in all of the catagories specified in the Environmental Review Policy. The firm is therefore qualified for inclusion in the list of Environmental Consultants. RESOLUTION N0. 8850 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA CERTIFYING GRABHORN ENGINEERING CORPORATION AS A CONSULTANT QUALIFIED FOR THE PREPARATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORTS FOR THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, recent revisions to the Environmental Review Policy have changed the standards for inclusion in the list of environmental consultants qualified for the preparation of Environ- mental Impact Reports for the City of Chula Vista and various con- sultants are now presenting the City with information to document that they meet the standards specified in the Environmental Review Policy, and WHEREAS, Grabhorn Engineering Corporation has been active in preparing Environmental Impact Reports for the City of Chula Vista in the past and, therefore, has submitted data to demonstrate that they are qualified for inclusion in the new list. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that the firm of Grabhorn Engineering Corpora- tion be, and they are hereby certified as a qualified consultant for the preparation of environmental impact reports for the City of Chula Vista.
