Sukut Construction Company, Inc. has requested an encroachment permit
from the City to construct a temporary haul road across City owned
lots within Bonita Ridge Estates Unit No. 3 and 4 Subdivisions. The
purpose of the haul road is to move dirt from one area to another of
Bonita Ridge Estates Unit rJo. 3.
This request to construct a haul road across City owned properties
results from a meeting held between the contractor and the Acacia Avenue
Home Owners Association. The home owners association is concerned with
and objects to the .increased traffic, noise and dust generated by the
heavy trucks and earth moving equipment if Acacia Avenue were utilized
as a haul road. An alternative solution proposed by the contractor, which
is acceptable to the Acacia Avenue Home Owners Association, the Director
of Parks and Recreation and the Director of Public Works, is to con-
struct a temporary haul road across Lot 140 of Bonita Ridge Estates
Unit No. 3 and Lots 219 and 220 of Bonita Ridge Estates Unit No. 4,
which were dedicated to the City at the time the City Council approved
final subdivision maps.
The haul road would be across natural terrain which is presently un-
developed. It is estimated that the grading operation would be com-
pleted within one month. Upon completion of the grading operation, the
temporary haul road would be removed and the original slopes restored
to their natural condition. The slopes would be replanted with native
plant material and would be irrigated and maintained for a minimum
period of 90 days or until accepted by the City's Landscape Architect.

restoration and maintenance of the natural slopes.
