HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1977-8787 RESOLUTION N0. 8787 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA DESIGNATING LOCAL ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR CLASS 1 SOLID WASTE FACILITIES AND HEALTH/NON-HEALTH RELATED SOLID WASTE STANDARDS UNDER THE Z'BERG-KAPILOFF SOLID WASTE CONTROL ACT OF 1976 The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the County of San Diego and its incorporated cities are required by Section 66796 of the Government Code to designate an enforcement agency to carry out the provisions of the Z'Berg-Kapiloff Solid Waste Control Act of 1976, and WHEREAS, the County and each city within the County of San Diego has designated or will designate its own enforcement agency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista hereby designates the County Department of Public Health as the enforcement agency for the health related standards, and for the issuance of permits for solid waste facili- ties; pursuant to the Health and Safety Code, Section 25100 et seq., the State Department of Public Health is designated as the enforce- ment agency for all Class 1 Solid Waste Facilities; the City Manager is designated as the enforcement agency for all non-health related standards pursuant to Subsection (a)(3) of Section 66796 of the Government Code.
