HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1982-11077 RESOLUTION NO. 11077 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AMENDING THE 1982-83 SALARY PlAN BY REDUCING THE NUMBER OF PAY STEPS FOR TRAFFIC OFFICERS FROM FIVE TO THREE The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, the current syste~ of five pay steps for Traffic Officers discourages individuals from staying on as Traffic Officers due to the amount of time it requires to reach "E" step, and WHEREAS, the three-step pay plan would constitute a more realistic pay schedule in that it would allow Traffic Officers to progress through the steps and reach their maximum pay potential in a time that more clearly reflects full competence in the job, and WHEREAS, the proposed three-step pay plan would contain the same top and bottom steps as contained in the five-step plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby amending the 1982-83 salary plan by reducing the number of pay steps for Traffic Officers from five to three.
