air compressor system

Bids were received and opened at 10:00 a.m. on May 1, 1978 in the office of the Purchasing
Agent for the purchase of an air compressor system for use by the Fire Department in
filling their breathing air tanks. Specifications allowed for trade-in of one 1960 air
compressor.
Proposal forms were mailed to five vendors with three submitting bids as follows:

The low .bid of American Bristol Industries meets specifications and is acceptable to the
Fire Chief. Funds required for the purchase are $9,917.80 plus $595.07 sales tax, less
$500.00 trade-in allowance fora total of $10,012.87. The 1977-78 budget provides $9,500
for the purchase.
