For meeting of 5/2/78
ITEM TITLE Resolution 9 09 1- Appropriating Funds for Council Candidates to Attend
New Council Members Leadership Institute
SUBMITTED BY City Attorney
ITEM EXPLANATION
(4/5TH'S VOTE REQUIRED YES X NO )
The City Council at its meeting of April 25, 1978 indicated a desire to make
available to the new Councilmen, the New Mayors and Council Members Leadership
Institute conducted by the League of California Cities on May 3-5, 1978, which
is prior to the runoff election in June.
Therefore, it is necessary to appropriate the sum of $100 to allow both candi-
dates to attend the Conference and, thus, insure that the newly elected Council-
man will have had the benefit.
