At that public hearing, the property owners will be given the opportunity to protest any extension of the number of parking lots and improvements on said lots to be established within the District and will thereby determine whether the District may go forward with the acq~!isition of said additional lots. As the property owners are aware, there has not been in the past any need for an ad valorem assessment to cover the costs of the acquisition and improvement of parking lots within the Parking District, but it is neces- sary that all property owners be properly noticed and informed of the fact of the potential ad valorem assessment. [t is fully expected that parking meter revenues will be more than adequate 'co repay the loans for' the acquisition and improvement of the lots. Please be aware that you must file your protest in writing not later than the date and hour of the hearing on the 23rd day of May, 1978 at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Very truly your .,.~ ~~ '~ . , ~L George D.
