RESOLUTION NO® 8960
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA
ELECTING TO PROCEED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE STREET
VACATION ACT OF 1941, DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA TO VACATE A PORTION OF
MOSS STREET BETWEEN INDUSTRIAL BLVD. AND I-5 FREEWAY
AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING THEREON
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Chula Vista has
determined that the public interest and convenience of said City re-
quire the vacation of a portion of Moss Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is the intention of
the City Council to order the vacation of a portion of Moss Street
between Industrial Boulevard and the I-5 freeway,
more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Chula
Vista hereby elects to proceed in making said vacation under the pro-
visions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, and hereby fixes 7:00 p.m. ,
the 24th day of January 1978 in the Council Chambers in
the Civic Center, 276 Fourth. Avenue, Chula Vista, California, as the time
and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the pro-
posed vacations
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of
Chula Vista be, and she is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resol-
ution to be published once in the Chula Vista Star News, a newspaper of
general circulation published within the City of Chula Vista, and to
cause notices of the passage of this resolution to be posted in the
manner and form required by law.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION
MOSS STREET VACATION
INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD TO I-5 FREEWAY
A strip of land, 80 feet wide, over those portions of the
southwest quarter of quarter-section 165 and the northwest
quarter of quarter-section 166 of Chula Vista according to
map thereof No. 505, filed in the office of the County Recorder,
County of San Diego, State of California described as follows:
The southerly 40 feet of said southwest quarter of quarter-
section 165 and the northerly 40 feet of said northwest
quarter of quarter-section 166, all lying between the west-
erly line of Industrial Boulevard and the easterly line of
Interstate Freeway Route 5 as shown on miscellaneous survey
map 742, records of said county.
Reserving therefrom, the following described easement:
An easement to Sweetwater Authority to construct, maintain,
operate, replace, remove or enlarge water facilities over
the southerly 20 feet of the northerly 40 feet of said
80 foot strip of land.
