ITEM TITLE Resolution gR - Requesting consolidation of a possible Chula Vista
Special runoff election and propositions with the
statewide primary election

ITEM EXPLANATION

In accordance with Division 14, Part 2, Chapter 4 of the Elections Code,
Section 23302 requires that any city requesting consolidation with the
statewide election in June must file a resolution of its governing
board with the Board of Supervisors at least 74 days prior to the date
of election.
To meet this requirement, our resolution must be considered by the
Board of Supervisors at their meeting of March 21.
Requested for consolidation will be a runoff election if one or more
candidates do not get a majority vote and certain Charter changes
as recommended by the Charter Review Committee and approved by the
City Council.
