ITEM EXPLANATION (4/5TH'S VOTE REQUIRED YES NO x )
We would like to have a member of the Police Department attend a
Protection of Public Officials Course. This course offers practical
solutions and techniques for resolving problems and preventing injury,
harassment, or embarrassment to the public official who may be visiting
our community. Emphasis is placed on advanced planning including
trainee participation in problem-solving under simulated conditions.
The cost of the course, including transportation to Sacramento is
$210.
The State Administrative D4anual requires that we have a Resolution
authorizing a city official to execute a training agreement.
