OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA VISTA ADOPTING A COUNCIL POLICY FOR
FFIC SIGNAL PARTICIPATION

u" TEMENT OF POLICY
All n w private residential, commercial, or industrial development
h 11, as a condition of building permit issuance (or approval of a
e oning ction relative to creation of new mobile home spaces), pay
raffic signal charge as authorized by ordinance of the City
p ncil, nd in such amount per trip as stipulated by City Council
olutio from time to time. The base charge is initially set at
7 .00 per one-way trip per day.
Remod ling (enlarging, altering, repairing or improving) of
X •sting esidential development is exempt from the traffic signal
h rge ex ept where and to the extent additional residential

Struc ural, occupancy, or use modifications to existing com-
cial o industrial developments which are projected to increase
h avera e daily traffic generated relative to the total development
e by 2 0 or more shall be subject to payment of the traffic signal
h rge to the extent of the projected increase in traffic. Traffic

any ac ion formally permitting a structural, or occupancy, or
~ modif 'cation to an existing commercial or industrial development.
Notwi hstanding any other provisions of this policy, no private
elopme t shall pay the traffic signal charge more than once for a
~ en lev 1 of traffic generation. Where additional trips are
e erated relative to a previously developed property, the traffic
nal ch rge will be applied only to the additional units and/or
r 'ps gen rated.
. Any p ivate development which has been required to install a
ffic s ignal shall get credit for the cost of that installation

e eratio rate for the applicable land use category as shown on
le I. Where a specific traffic generation projection has been
