When the City ouncil approved the final map, the City also accepted the dedic tion o Lots "A", "B", "C", and "D" for park, recreational, open space, publi utilities and other public purposes. On Au ust 18, 1978, the Director of Public Works received a request from an Die o Gas & Electric Company requesting that the City grant to SD &E eas ments for underground facilities within Lots "C" and "D". These easeme is are required to provide utility service to the resid nces b ing constructed within the subdivision. All utilities servi g the ubdivision will be undergrounded in compliance with the Chula Vista unicipal Code. Altho gh the City accepted a dedication across the aforementioned lots or pub is utilities, regulations of the Public Utilities Commis- sion, safety of the public and protection of the utilities facilities requi es tha SDG&E obtain separate easements. T e City reserves the right to develop its lands for parks, ecreati nal and open space use by the public provided said use es not unreasonably interfere with San Diego Gas & Electric mpany' use and enjoyment of the easement and right-of-way. 3. T e City shall not increase nor decrease the ground surface eleva- ions wi hin the easement right-of-way without prior written c nsent from San Diego Gas & Electric Company. 4. T e City of Chula Vista shall clear and keep clear said easements a d righ -of-way from explosives, materials, buildings or other structur s, implements or obstructions without limiting the g nerali y of the foregoing three conditions. 5. S n Dieg Gas & Electric Company shall have the right to trim and c t tree , foliage and roots upon and within these easements and rights-of-way whenever, in San Diego Gas & Electric Company's j dgment, the same shall be necessary or proper for the convenient a d safe exercise of the rights granted to San Diego Gas & Electric C mpany, upon written approval of the City. of Chula Vista. 6. S n Dieg Gas & Electric Company shall take all reasonable steps t keep o a minimum the disturbance of the area. However, when e cavati ns are necessary, San Diego Gas & Electric Company shall erever possible return the surface land to as near as possible i s natu al condition.
