On June 27, 1977, the City of Chula Vista and the San Diego Port District
executed an agreement whereby the City would provide certain maintenance
services at the "J" Street Marina. A provision in the agreement allowed
for the extension of the agreement upon mutual consent of hoth parties.
Such an extension was made in June 1978 to cover FY 1979-80.
I am enclosing the original and two copies of a proposed second amendment
to the agreement. The only changes are the dates and adjustments in costs
that reflect inflation. If the amended agreement meets the Port District's
approval, please sign and return the original and one copy to:
The Director of Parks and Recreation
Box 1087
Chula Vista, CA 92012
After the amended agreement has been approved by the City Council, and the
Mayor signs it, the City Clerk will send a completed copy to the Port
District. I plan to take the amended agreement to the City Council for
approval on June 26th.
If you have questions or concerns about the amended agreement, please call
Aubrey Kesterson at 575-5071.
It has been a pleasure working with the Port District on this project.
My staff and I will be looking forward to providing the maintenance service
again during the coming year.
Sincerely,
merson Hall
Director of Parks and Recreation
