RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CHULA VISTA REJECTING BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE PARK WAY COMMUNITY CENTER IN THE CITY
OF CHULA VISTA
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
'solve as follows:
WHEREAS, the following two bids were received and opened
a 2:00 p.m. on the 27th day of June, 1979 in Conference Room #2
o the Public Services Building for the construction of the Park
W y Community Center, Chula Vista, California:
Contractor Amount
Raymond D. Haas & Son, Lemon Grove $559,847.00
Fritz A. Nachant Inc., San Diego 635,000.00
WHEREAS, the low bid submitted by Raymond D. Haas & Son
i above the Architect's estimate by $169,847.00, or 43.68 and
t e Architect has recommended that said bids be rejected and that
t e project be readvertised for bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
t e City of Chula Vista does hereby acknowledge the receipt of said
t o bids for the construction of the Park Way Community Center and
d es hereby reject said bids and directs staff to readvertise for
b'ds at a later date.
