B. Fringe Benefits
1) All fringe benefits ap~licab]e to the full-time Unclassified
Service shall apply ex ept as modified below. -
2) Deferred Compensation flans -
a. Employees in the E ecutive Group may participate in the
Deferred Compensat on Plan with Great 4destern Savings
and Loan Associati n as designated in Resolution No. 7641.
b. Employees in the E ecutive Group may have the option of
applying their nor al contribution to the Public Employees'
Retirement System s "deferred compensation" which is not
subject to tax unt 1 withdrawal. Effective the pay period
July 14, 1978 - Ju y 27, 1978, said amount will be forwarded
by the City to the Public Employees' Retirement System to
be credited to the employees' individual account. Employees
who select this pl n are advised that there may be some
question as to the practicability of such a plan and they
could, as a result of an adverse I.R.S. or judicial ruling,
be ineligible for uch a plan and may have to pay taxes
and penalties on a ounts previously deferred.
3) Education Reimbursemen -Executive positions may receive
tuition and textbook r~funds to a maximum of $200 per year for
approved professional end technical courses. In addition, employees

7) Physical Examination - Executive positions shall receive

physical examination.
8) Sick Leave Reimburseme t - Sick leave shall accrue and be
reimbursed as designat d in Civil Service Rule IX, Section 3.
9) Vacation - Executive p sitions shall earn a minimum of three
(3) weeks vacation per year. Effective June 26, 1973, such
positions shall be req fired to use all but one week (40
hours) of their annual earned vacation each year as determined
by their employment an iversary date. The remaining one week
carry-over may be accu ulated to a maximum of six weeks (240
hours) for those incum ents earning three weeks annual vacation,
and eight weeks (320 h urs) for those earning four weeks annual
vacation.

shall be administered in accordance with Resolution No. 7073 except
that the two (2) additional holidays will accrue each July first.
6) Life Insurance Plan - Middle Management positions shall receive
supplemental individual life insurance policy coverage at a monthly
premium rate of fifteen dollars ($15) per position. At the
employee option, the premium amount may be used to defray the cost
of Group Health Insurance.
