Staff recommends that the FY1978-79 City/County agreement for
Transit Services be amended to reflect updated cost figures.
The original estimated cost of $1.22/mile for provision of
parts of CVT Routes 5 and 7 in .the unincorporated County area
was based on the FY79 first quarter Aztec/City contract. The
Council later approved a two--year Aztec contract at a FY1979
cost of $1.35/mile for .CVT service. City administrative,
planning, and marketing costs are estimated to be $.20/mile,
thus resulting in a total revised CVT cost of $1.55/mile in
FY1978-79.

County Department of Trasportation staff supports this amendment
and agrees that the County should reimburse the City for all
applicable costs of CVT operation in their area. This amended
agreement upon City execution will then be forwarded to the County
Board of Supervisors for their approval.
