HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1979/02/13 Item 11• CITY OF CHULA VISTA COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item No. 11 For meeting of 2/13/79 ITEM TITLE Resolution 9~"/.7 Rescinding Resolution No. 9474 Amending FY1979 San Diego Transit/City Agreement SUBMITTED BY Director of Public Works ~J j ~'" ITEM EXPLANATION (4/5TH' S VOTE REQUIRED YES NO x ) The City was informed by San Diego Transit on February 1, 1979, that the City of San Diego would continue to pick up 750 of the operating costs of Route 100, effective January 29, 1979, to June 30, 1979. This action would thus rescind Council's Resolution No. 9474 adopted January 23 approving an amendment to the FY79 SDTC/City agreement. This amendment approved City financing the entire operating costs of Route 100 service. The City would have been paying an additional $20,000/month of its LTF funds over the original $10,000/month it had been paying for its 25o share of Route 100 service costs. The Transit Coordinator has been informed by SDTC that it will give the City notice no later than April 1, 1979, as to whether or not it plans to operate Route 100 service after July 1, 1979. He will be working with the City Attorney and SDTC to make sure the FY80 SDTD/City agreements on Routes 29, 32, and 100 have a concise clause providing that the City requires a formal notice of 90 days by SDTC prior to a reduction or termination of bus service. ..
