RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA
VISTA APPROVING TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION MAP FOR CHULA
VISTA TRACT 79-11 KNOWN AS PALO DEL AMO
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Chula
Vista has heretofore approved that certain tentative subdivision
map for Chula Vista Tract 79-11 known as Palo del Amo and has
recommended that the City Council approve said tentative map
subject to the conditions contained in Planning Commission Reso-
lution Pdo. PCS-79-11, adopted on the 13th day of December, 1978,
a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a
part hereof, the same as though fully set forth herein, and
WHEREAS, the proposed project was determined to be
exempt from environmental review as a Class 1(k) exemption.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista that said Council does hereby approve said
tentative subdivision map in accordance with Planning Commission
Resolution No. PCS-79-11.

RESOLUTION N0. PCS-79-11
THE CITY COUNCIL THE APPROVAL OF THE TENTATIVE SUBDIVISION
MAP KNOWN AS PALO DEL AMO (CHULA VISTA TRACT 79-11)
WHEREAS, on October 30, 1978 Norman Starr submitted a tentative subdivision
map for the conversion of a 40 unit apartment complex, currently under construction,
into a one lot condominium project at 54-94 Kingswood Drive in the R-3-P-12 zone,
and
WHEREAS, Section 66473.5 of the Government Code provides that approval of a
subdivision map shall be based upon findings of consistency between the subdivision
map and the adopted General Plan df the local jurisdiction, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission set the time and place for a public hearing
to consider said tentative map, and notice of said hearing, with its purpose, was
given by the publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the city at least
10 days prior to the date of said hearing, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was held at said time and place, namely 7:00 p.m.,
December 13, 1978 in the Council Chamber, City Hall, before the Planning Commission
and said hearing was thereafter closed, and
WHEREAS, the proposed project was determined to be exempt from environmental
review as a Class 1(k) exemption.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. From facts presented to the Planning Commission, the Commission finds
that the subdivision map known as Palo Del Amo (Chula Vista Tract 79-11) is consis-
tent with the goals and objectives of the Chula Vista General Plan based on the
following:
a. The proposed project does not affect the following elements of the
General Plan: Land Use, Circulation, Seismic Safety, Safety, Noise,
Scenic Highways, Bicycle Routes, Public Buildings, Conservation, Parks
and Recreation, and Open Space.
b. Housing Element - The conversion of apartment units under construction
will not reduce the inventory of rental units but will permit an
expanded choice of housing ownership.
2. The Planning Commission recommends to the City Council that the tentative
map for Palo Del Amo (Chula Vista Tract 79-11) be approved, subject to the following
conditions:
a. The drainage easement shall be dedicated on the final map as well as
the 25.5 foot wide access easement on the terminus of Tobias Drive.

inside the unit; the average of 284 cubic feet of storage area per
unit shall be considered as meeting the minimum requirement of 256
cubic feet per unit.
3. That this resolution be transmitted, along with the Tentative Map, to
the City Council, and a copy of this resolution be transmitted to the applicant.
