DI CUSSION: Three seats will be up for election: Seat No. 2 currently
he d by Councilman Campbell; Seat No. 3 - Councilman Scott and Seat
No. 4 - Councilman Gillow. At this time, no measures are being
pr posed - the Charter Review Committee has scheduled its first
me ting on December 17 and will be reviewing the Charter for modifica-
ti ns or amendments, subject to the approval of the City Council, to
be placed on the June 8, 1982 ballot.
Th City Clerk will be responsible for the publication and distribution
of all legal documents: resolutions, nomination papers, filings of
ec nomic statements, absent voter ballots, etc., and the Registrar of
Vo ers will be responsible for the physical aspects of the election:
se ting up the polling places, distribution of election supplies, and
ca vassing the returns of the election.
FI CAL IMPACT: The "estimate" of the Registrar of Voters is that the
el ction will cost the City $17,500.00.
