It i my R COMMENDATION: That Council award this contract to Perry E ectric, the low bidder for $5,499.00. B ARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A D SCUSSION: T ere are presently 22 mercury vapor street lights on "E" Street b tween Fourth Avenue and Church Avenue. They were installed in 1 58 and are wired for series electrical service. This m dification will rewire the lights for multiple electrical s rvice which will allo w for conversion to high pressure sodium v por luminaires. Ten of the existing street light standards w 11 be removed, thus adjusting the level of lighting on "E" S reet to be similar to that on Third Avenue between "G" and "K" S Teets. I formal bids were received in the City Engineer's office until 5:00 p.m. on October 22, 1981. Five electrical contractors were i vited to submit bids.
