Director of Planning

Dear r'~r. Gray:
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on your resolution. The
San Diego Chapter of the Sierra Ciub concurs with your resolution
and realizes that is carries no force of law as Cadillac Fairview
Homes 'r7est, with whom the City of Chula Vista is dealing, is not
the legal owners of .the, Janal Ranch.
Thank you also for including a,representative of the Sierra Club
in planning sessions for the :.'astern areas. We would be pleased
to participate in the planning provided it is clearly understood
that such participation does not commit the Sierra Club to any
particular position in advance on subsequent proposed developments
in the area. Since the Sierra Club is staffed with volunteers
who have fulltime employment obligations, meetings held after
3:30 p.m. on working days will assure an opportunity to be
present at planning sessions.
