RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CHULA VISTA ADOPTING THE MITIGATION MONITORING
PROGRAM FOR EIR-89-9, GENERAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
AND EASTLAKE Ill/OLYMPIC TRAINING CENTER
The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the mitigation monitoring program prepared for
the City of Chula Vista for the EastLake III/Olympic Training
Center project complies with AB 3180, which requires public
agencies to adopt such programs to ensure effective
implementation of mitigation measures, and
WHEREAS, the program is a framework to later be
developed into a comprehensive mitigation monitoring program, and
WHEREAS, these comprehensive monitoring programs will
serve a dual purpose of verifying completion of the mitigation
measures for the proposed projects and generating information on
the effectiveness of the mitigation measures to guide future
decisions, and
WHEREAS, the program includes:
Monitoring team qualifications
Specific monitoring activities
Reporting system
Criteria for evaluating the success of the
mitigation measures
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission took no action on this
item at their November 8, 1989 meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Chula Vista does hereby adopt the Mitigation
Monitoring Program for EIR-89-9, General Development Plan for
EastLake III/Olympic Training Center, a copy of which is attached
hereto and incorporated herein by reference as if set forth in
full.
