HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1982/08/24 Item 8cCOUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item 8 c Meeting Date 8/24/82 ITEM TITLE: UBMITTEDI Resolution ~~ ~ 9,~ Establishing the compensation and fringe benefit plan for unrepresented/unclassified employees for Fiscal Year 1982-83 Assistant City Manager __ (4/5ths Voteā€¢ Yes No X ) BY: This resolution establishes the compensation and fringe benefit plan for the following unclassified/unrepresented employees for FY 1982-83: Deputy City Attorney Personnel Analyst Secretary to the City Manager Secretary to the City Attorney Secretary to the Mayor It is my RECOMMENDATION: That Council adopt resolution BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: N.A. The salar and fringe benefit package for Deputy City Attorney and Personnel Analyst is the same s the benefit package for employees represented by the Chula Vista Employees Associati n. Both of these positions are currently vacant and it is not anticipated that they will be filled during the fiscal year. The unclassified clerical employees will receive the following benefits: Commencing September 3, 1982, the City -Nill contribute seven (7%) percent towards the employee's share of PERS retirement costs. Employees will receive 7% lump sum reimbursement for PERS payments already made for the period July 9 through September 2, 1982. ?. In addition to the above 7% PERS payment, the following special adjustments will be made effective July 9, 1982: Classification Secretary to the City Manager Secretary to the City Attorney Secretary to the Mayor of Special Adjustment 5.8 5.8 5.8 3. Hard Holidays - Will be increased from six to seven (same as CVEA). Floating Holidays - 4Ji11 be reduced from five to four (same as CVEA). The Cafe~eria Plan allotment will remain at $1,020, which is equivalent to that of the Chula Vi to Employees Association. FINANCIALIIMPACT The total annual cost of the compensation package is $6,614, which includes $3,617 for the %PERS payment and $2,997 for the special adjustments for the unclassified clerical Inasmuch as we do not anticipate filling the Deputy City.Attorney and Personnel orm A-11 (Rev. 11/79) Analyst, these positions have no fiscal impact on the package.
