The contract under which this ser ice is provided expired on June 30, 1982. Therefore, it is my RECOiv1MEN ATION: That Council extend the contract through June 30, 1983. BOARD/CO~~MISSION RECOMMENDATION: N/A DISCUSSI N: The Employee Assistance Program has been in existence for 12 years and it appea s that it is meeting its objectives. In fact, it has surpassed objectives for Total Wo kforce Penetration and Total Troubled Employee Workforce Penetration. The original objectives were to reach 1% of the total workforce and 20% of the total troubled workforc However, in the first 12 years, the Total Workforce Penetration is 5.7% and the otal Troubled Employee Workforce Penetration is 71%. These figures indicate the defi ite need for Mr. Rogers' services. FISCAL IMPACT: $5,000 has been allocated in the 1982-83 budget for EAP.
