s stated in my letter of March 17, 1982, there is considerable
udget uncertainty at all levels of government. For that
eason, we are entering into three month agreements now for
he period July, August, and September. The agreement is
asically a three month extension of your existing contract.
he contract for the remainder of FY 82-83 will be negotiated
hen funding levels have been established.
aced on preliminary information available at this time,
see the potential for reduction and possible elimination of
nformation and Referral programs to be a strong possibility.
s a priority service, I&R will probably rank in the middle
t best and down somewhere at the bottom at worst for programs
unded by this County. With reductions in funding almost
ssured, a prioritization process needs to be and will be
eveloped by the Board of Supervisors. I hope this information
ill be helpful to you in your budget process. Please be
eminded that we must receive your completed contract package
ncluding the required documentation at the close of business
