HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1989-15350 RESOLUTION NO. 15350 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA AND DESIGN FOR HEALTH, INC. FOR ASBESTOS ABATEMENT INSPECTION SERVICES REQUIRED IN CONNECTION WITH THE REMODELING AND ASBESTOS ABATEMENT WITHIN THE CHULA VISTA POLICE DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT The City Council of the City of Chula Vista does hereby resolve as follows: WHEREAS, On July 22, 1989, the Engineering Division sent request for proposals for construction inspection for asbestos abatement within the Chula Vista Police Department and four firms responded with proposals to provide the required services, and WHEREAS, the selection committee evaluated all four proposals and interviewed each firm, and WHEREAS, based on criteria established in City Council Policy No. 102-103, the selection committee appointed by the City Manager to review the proposals recommends that the contract for i~spection of asbestos abatement within the Chula Vista Police artment be awarded to Design for Health, Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Chula Vista that that certain agreement between THE CITY OF CHULA VISTA, a municipal corporation, and DESIGN FOR HEALTH, INC. for asbestos abatement inspection services required in connection with the remodeling and asbestos abatement within the Chula Vista Police Department, dated the lYth day of Dntnhe~ , 1989, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, the same as though fully set forth herein be, and the same is hereby approved.~= BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of Chula Vista be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of Chula Vista.
