The purpose of this ordinance is to update the truck route system. It 's my RE OM MENDATION: Place this ordinance on first reading designating "H" Street between I-805 and Third Ave ue; and Third Avenue between "H" Street and "L" Street as truck rou es. BOA D/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. DISCUSSION: The purpose of truck routes is to restrict the flow of truck tra fic within the City on designated streets that due to width and structuralsection can better handle truck traffic. I-8 5 has since been completed and Third Avenue has recently been wid ned to provide for standard (12 ft. wide) travel lanes. The des gnation of these two streets will allow for truck access from • I-8 5 to the commercial establishments along Third Avenue. PCM-82-14 • RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMP~ENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL THE APPROVAL OF A REVISION TO THE RANCHERO SECTIONAL PLANNING AREA IN THE EL RANCHO DEL REY SPECIFIC PLAN TO DELETE A HIGH SCHOOL SITE WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1824, approved by the City Council on August 15, 178, adopted a new Specific Plan/General Development Plan for E1 Rancho del Rey, add WHEREAS, the new Specific Plan designated the location of a high school site within the Ranchero Sectional Planning Area., and WHEREAS, on June 11, 1980 the Sweetwater Union High School District advised City of Chula Vista that it was the decision of the school district/s board o~ trustees to exclude that location from further consideration as a school site, a • approximately 50 acres within the Ranchero Sectional Planning Area from "high school" to "medium/low density residential" on the plan diagram of the E1 Rancho WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission initiated a proposal to redesignate 1 Rey. Specific Plan, and WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission set the time and place fora public h~aring to consider said proposal and notice of said hearing, with its purpose, s given by the publication in a newspaper of general circulation in the city a~ least ten days prior to the date of said hearing, and WHEREAS, a hearing was held at said time and place, namely 7:00 p.m., Member 2, 1981, in the Council Chambers, Public Services Building, 276 Fourgh A~ ue, before the Planning Commission and said hearing was thereafter closed.
