Our Chula Vista Senior Citizens' Club has been serving Chula Vista seniors I(,r 511 vears.
Currently, the Norman Park Center serves close to 2500 senior resLdenls L-:VL-:R Y WLI':!\..
It would be tantamount to a travesty to close Norman Park Senior Center, as we've been
told is being proposed in all three of the budget cutting proposals ahout 10 he considercd
by your Council.
If you do this, and you close the Ccnter on Jan 7'h, you would he closing the dllors and
support services to over 250U senior residents \\.'ho consider Norman Park their Cl'nlCT
each and every week. You would be closing the doors on close 10 100 on-going in-house
programs, community-sponsored workshops and activities and daily, weekly and monlhly
"helping" services as well as the fun and sharing actiVltJes we all look I(lrward 10.
