Th easement also extends through portions of the City of Chula Vi ta's Open Space Lot "A"~, and portions of Lots 17, 18 and 19. The Pl nning Commission recommends the entire easement be vacated at on time. At the time South Bay Villas Subdivision was processed, the adjacent fu ure E1 Rancho del Rey, Unit 5 was not within the City limits. A equest was made to use portions of Lot "A", "H", 17, 18 and 19 fo a temporary street easement until the development of El Rancho de Rey would complete the ultimate alignment of Entrada Place and East "J Street. Ea t "J" Street and Entrada Place are now improved. Based on the or ginal intentions when South Bay Villas was processed and now that Ea t "J" Street and Entrada Place are fully improved, staff re ommends that the City Council approve the vacation of the subject st eet easement. COUNCIL ION b Ee C~,~ ._ . ,,.. ~~ n.~¢^~ ~.. 3 -79 P1arch 29, 1979 To: The Honorable Mayor and City Council Via: Deputy City Manager/Director of Public Works From: Director of Planning Subject: Request for vacation of road easement through Lot "H" of South Bay Villas No. 1 At the meeting of March 28, 1979 the City Planning Commission considered the request submitted by the Gersten Company to vacate the temporary road easement through Lot "H" of South Bay Villas No. 1. In addition, it was pointed out at the Commission meeting that the 40 ft. wide easement, running from "J" Street to Entrada Place, also effects lots 17, 18, 19 and ..A.. The Planning Commission found that it is appropriate to vacate the entire easement for the following reasons: 1. Completion of Entrada Place and "J" Street have eliminated the need for the temporary road easement. 2. All utilities have been relocated into the alignment of East "J" Street and Entrada Place and the utility companies have no objection to the vacation. The Planning Commission therefore recommends that the easement as shown on the attached exhibit be vacated. D. J.
