DISCUSSION
Altho~gh the City is not bound to pay minimum wage we believe that meeting the Federal
minim m can help the employees morale and recruitment. The one classification listed
above currently starts at a level below the minimum. By increasing the range we will
assur~ that all our classifications are paid at least the .minimum.
FISCAL IMPACT
The r commended salary range represents an increase of approximately 3%. The additional
wage which will be paid at the higher range can be absorbed in current departmental
budge .
