The Town Centre No. 1 Lighting and Landscape Maintenance District
was formed to pay the costs of maintenance of landscaping and
lighting along Third Avenue in the Town Centre No. 1 area. Renewal
of the assessment district for Fiscal Year 1988-1989 is required.
RECOMMENDATION: That Council adopt the subject resolution ordering
the City Engineer's report.
BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable
DISCUSSION:
The Town Centre No. 1 Lighting and Landscape Maintenance District
was formed in 1980 to pay the costs of maintaining the landscaping
and providing energy for the street lights along Third Avenue in the
Town Centre No. 1 area.
According to Article 4, Chapter 1, Part 2, "Landscaping and Lighting
Act of 1972" being Division 15, Part 2 of the California Streets
and Highways Code, the City Engineer is to prepare and file a report
to begin the renewal process for the assessment district each year.
The City Engineer will prepare his report for Council's
consideration and approval. A public hearing will be held at a later
to confirm the assessments.
FISCAL IMPACT: None, the cost of re-spreading the assessments will
absorbed by the property owners in their assessment.
