DISCUSSION: On April 7, 1987, a written communication was received by Council complaining about large trucks parking for long periods of time on Halecrest Drive north of Telegraph Canyon Road. In response to this complaint and in order to improve sight distance at the intersections of Halecrest Drive with Hale Street and the entrance to the Canyon Plaza Shopping Center, the City Engineer removed the parking along this area by trial traffic regulation (attached) on May 6, 1987. A review of our accident records eight months prior to the i nstal l ati on of no parking signs, shows a total of 3 reported accidents on Halecrest Drive from Telegraph Canyon Road to 200 feet north of the Hale Street intersection. One of these accidents was due to a parked car.
