HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1987/12/08 Item 7• ITEM TITLE: SUBMITTED BY: REVIEWED BY: COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X ) The 1984-85 budget included funds for the construction of drainage facilities in the central basin near Fifth Avenue. In order to construct the drainage facilities east and west of Fifth Avenue between "F" Street and "G" Street, it was necessary to obtain 11 drainage easements from various property owners. RECOMMENDATION: That Council accept 10 drainage easements and direct the City Clerk to have them recorded at the County Recorder's office. BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. • DISCUSSION: The drainage easements will facilitate the construction of the rectangular open channel or reinforced box culvert. Ten of the 11 easements have been granted and they are now ready for acceptance by the City Council. Staff is working with the owner to obtain the remaining easement (~10 on the attached plat). The project will be advertised for construction after this easement has been obtained. Attached is a drawing showing the location of the easements and location of the project. FISCAL IMPACT: None.
