City Manage (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X ) That City Council adopt resolutions as listed in the title BOARDS/COMMISSIONS RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. • DISCUSSION: The Final Map for Unit 1 Chula Vista Tract 84-7, Eastlake I, Village and Business Center was approved by the City Council on May 6, 1986, by Resolution No. 12453. Approval of the Final Map also included the acceptance of the portion of Eastlake Parkway within the subdivision. Recently, Eastlake Development Company has proposed to construct the offsite portion of Eastlake Parkway to connect the existing improvements in the Eastlake Business Center to the existing Eastlake Drive in the Eastlake residential area. Currently approved improvement plans call for AC pavement, processed miscellaneous base, storm drains, concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, median, street lights and fire hydrants to be installed. The owner has been required to dedicate the necessary right-of-way to accommodate these improvements. One foot control lot "C" is located at the northerly end of Eastlake Parkway as dedicated on the Eastlake Business Center. The control lot was granted to the City and accepted by Resolution 12457. The lot was not dedicated to public use to allow the City to control development of the adjacent properties. In conjunction with the continuation of Eastlake Parkway, it is now appropriate to dedicate and name the control lot. • • • • Page 2, Item 16a, b, c Meeting Date-I~JT~/$7 The developer also proposes to install a meandering sidewalk along the south side of Eastlake Parkway extending from Eastlake Drive to Otay Lakes Road. The purpose of this proposal is to conform with the trails element for Eastlake as approved in the Eastlake Sectional Planning Area (SPA) plan To install the proposed meandering sidewalk, a 10-foot sidewalk easement has been granted along the south side of Eastlake Parkway extending from Eastlake Drive to Otay Lakes Road. The documents granting both easements have been executed by the owner and submitted to the Engineering Department. They have been found satisfactory and are now ready for acceptance by the City Council. FISCAL IMPACT: Not applicable.
