HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1981/09/22 Item 13' COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item Meeting Date ~_~~_~z ITEM TITLE: Resolution ~06,j Accepting public improvements - installation of ~reet lights on Bonita Road between Willow Street and Otay Lakes Road SUBMITTED BY: City Engineer ~~V (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X ) The work consisted of instal~ation of City owned street lights on prestressed concrete poles in conjunction with utility undergrounding on Bonita Road. A final inspection was made on September 14, 1981 and the work has been completed to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. Therefore it is my RECOMMENDATION: That Council accept the public improvements on Bonita Road between Willow Street and Otay Lakes Road. BOARD/COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION: Not applicable. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The total cost to the City for this project is 517,694.02 broken down as follows: Construction contract Materials Subtotal Funds available Balance City share* $ 8,631.45 9,062.57 17,694.02 54,000.00 46,305.98 Approximately $2,500 of the balance will be transferred to the General Fund to pay for costs of inhouse design and inspection. The remainder will be returned to the unappropriated gas tax fund . *The total construction contract was for $14,615.00 of which the La Bonita Condominiums contributed 55,983.55 as their share of the street light construction adjacent to their development.
