HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1981/08/04 Item 8COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT ITEM TITLE: Resolution ~D,S~~ Approving agreement with Our House for expenditure of City aQpropriated funds SUBMITTED BY: Assistant City P1anager ~ (4/5ths Vote: Yes No X ) During the 1981-82 budget sessions, the City Council approved funding in the amount of $12,000 for the Our House organization. However, a~hold was put on disbursement of these funds until staff had a chance to investigate and analyze the allegations made by former Executive Director Bernadette Probus in her letter of resignation. At the Council meeting of July 21, 1981, a report was made by the Director of Public Safety regarding the problems stated in Ms. Probus' letter. The City Council accepted this report and voted to continue funding of the organization for FY 1981-82. Therefore, it is my RECOMMENDATION: That Council 1. Adopt resolution approving agreement with Our House. nTCf IICCT(1N• Agreements have been adopted with all the other groups which receive funding under the Community Promotions activity. The Our House agreement is similar to that adopted last fiscal year except that Section 2 delineates that telephone expense shall not include new systems or phone installations arhich may be incurred by the organization's move to other quarters.
