HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Statement 1981/07/14 Item 13COUNCIL AGENDA STATEMENT Item' ~ 3 ~~ Meeting Date 7/14/81 ITEM TITLE: Resolution~~~~Approving First Amendment to Agreement Between the City of Chula Vista and the City of National City for Fire Dispatching Services i ~~ SUBMITTED BY: Director of Public Safety~,'~~~ (4/5th5 Vote: Yes No X ) At the Council meeting of August 12, 1980 the Council passed Resolution No. 10229 which established an agreement to provide fire dispatching services for the City of relational City with the provision that this payment would be reviewed at the end of the 1980-81 fiscal year. Recommendation: That Council: 1. Adopt Resolution approving first amendment to agreement to provide for increased payment. Board/Commission Recommendation: riot Applicable. Discussion: The provisions of Resolution #10229 required National City to pay the City of Chula Vista $1,641.00 per month for the provision of fire dispatch- ing service. This amount equals the salary and fringe benefits of one Communications Operator. For reasons noted in the A-113 concerning the Montgomery Fire Dispatching Agreement it is my recommendation that we increase the relational City Fire dispatching fees by 10°s for the 1981-82 fiscal year. This is based on the salary and fringe benefit increase received by the Communications Operators. This would increase the monthly fee from $1,641 per month to $1,805 per month. This proposed increase has been concurred in by the Fire Chief of National City.
