The new MOU provides for a salary increase and several pro- cedural modifications. ... . RECOMMENDATION: Adopt Resolution. BOARDjCOt-1MISSION RECOMMENDATION: N.A. DISCUSSION . The 1981-82 MOU includes the following major changes: 1. 8.5% salary increase effective July 10, 1981 for all represented employees (See Exhibit B.) - 2. Tuition Reimbursement - Currently the City provides $100 per individual per fiscal year for the cost of tuition and books for courses directly related to the employee's career development. This section has been deleted from the MOU. 3. Holidays - Currently members of the Fire Suppression Division receive 72 hours of holiday pay at straight time as compensation for working on recognized holidays. This MOU provides for the addition of 16 hours of holiday pay, which equals a total of 88 hours, equivalent to the hours of holiday time received by all City employees. 4. Uniforms - Currently represented members of the Association receive $70 uniform allowance. Effective upon ratification of this MOU, the uniform allowance is being deleted. 5. Deferred Compensation - All represented members will now be eligible to participate in the City's approved deferred compensation plan administered by Great Western. ... FISCAL IMPACT ..
